There are homemade dresses under construction in the dining room, cloth diapers in the washing machine, and homemade laundry detergent in the laundry room. There are newly planted tomato plants in our backyard, a bowl of fruit on the counter that constantly needs replenishing, and home-cooked meals everyday. There are small handmade items collecting in the closet to fill two Easter baskets.

Ma Ingalls had you at "washing machine." AND she was wearing a dress through it all. (Not a bad idea with the dresses- no worries about fitting into pre-baby jeans.)
ReplyDeleteNothing makes me feel like more of a slug mother than ignoring my dirty house, laundry, and long to-do list and instead lying on the couch reading Little House while the kids sleep. Thank God for the time and place in which I live!
